Liberty Clinch Top Seed
The New York Liberty clinched the No. 1 seed in the WNBA playoffs with an 81-75 win over the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
Betnijah Laney led the Liberty with 23 points, while Sabrina Ionescu added 17 points and Natasha Howard had 16 points.
The Liberty finished the regular season with a 22-10 record, one game ahead of the Chicago Sky.
Dream in Driver's Seat for Eighth Seed
The Atlanta Dream are in the driver's seat for the eighth and final playoff seed after a 96-88 win over the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
Aari McDonald led the Dream with 24 points, while Rhyne Howard added 20 points and Crystal Bradford had 16 points.
The Dream are now 14-20, one game ahead of the Seattle Storm.
Remaining Schedule
There are just two days remaining in the WNBA regular season.
On Tuesday, the Liberty will host the Dallas Wings, while the Dream will host the Connecticut Sun.
On Wednesday, the Liberty will host the Chicago Sky in a rematch of the 2021 WNBA Finals, while the Dream will host the Indiana Fever.
Playoff Picture
The top eight teams in the WNBA standings will qualify for the playoffs.
The top two seeds will receive a double-bye to the semifinals, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will receive a single-bye to the second round.
The first round of the playoffs will begin on Thursday, August 18.
