Caeleb Dressel Wins 8th Gold as Anchor of US Relay Team
The United States men's 4x100-meter freestyle team opened up the Paris Games with their third consecutive gold medal in the event. As the veteran on a youthful US men's swim team, Dressel added another relay victory to his long list Saturday night, anchoring the winning team to victory.
Dressel Led Team to Victory
Dressel led the team of Alexy Armstrong and Guiliano, winning the event at the Paris Olympics. The Gator alumnus once again showcased his incredible talent, anchoring the US's 4x100 relay team to victory.
Dressel's 47.33 split moved the US into the lead, and they held on to win the gold. This is Dressel's eighth gold medal of his Olympic career, and he is now tied with Michael Phelps for the most gold medals won by an American swimmer.
