Francis Franco Cascone, 75, of Mentor-on-the-Lake passed away in Melbourne, Florida after a brief illness.
He was born September 2, 1944 in Messina, Italy the son of the late Salvatore and Josephine (DiGiovanne) Cascone.
Mr. Cascone was a former councilman in the City of Mentor from 1988 to 2001.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy (nee McCormick, sons Dominic (Angela) of Mentor and Jonathan (Juliane) of Washington, DC, grandchildren Madelyn, Ava, and Salvatore, brother Gino (Lucy) of Mentor, sister-in-law Lenora Cascone of Mentor, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Anthony.
Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Jack Monreal Funeral Home, 31925 Vine Street Willoughby, OH 44094.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060.
